These Terms of Service (the “Agreement”) constitute a legally binding agreement and public offer from the Rust Arena game project (the “Project”, “Administration”, “We”, or “Us”) to you (the “Player” or “You”). This Agreement governs your use of the Rust Arena website, in-game shop, and game servers.
By signing in on the website through the Steam API or connecting to the Project’s game servers, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using our services.
1. General Provisions and Account
- Requirements: To use the Project’s services, the Player must own a licensed copy of Rust and a personal, valid Steam account.
- Account Security: The Player is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their Steam account, computer system, and in-game property.
- Affiliation: The Project operates independent, modified community servers and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Facepunch Studios or Valve Corporation. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
2. Gameplay Rules and Bans
- Compliance: The Player agrees to read and strictly adhere to the official Project Rules published on our platforms.
- Prohibited Conduct: The use of cheats, macros, scripts, third-party software intended to provide an unfair advantage, exploitation of in-game bugs, and any attempts to bypass ban systems are strictly prohibited.
- Enforcement: The Administration reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate the Player’s access to the servers and website (issue a ban) for any violation of the Project Rules, at our sole discretion.
- Forfeiture: If a Player is banned for rule violations, all in-game balances, purchased privileges, and items are forfeited and are not eligible for compensation, transfer, or refund.
3. Disclaimer of Warranties (“As Is” & Wipes)
- Service Availability: All services, game features, and digital items are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The Administration does not guarantee uninterrupted server uptime, absolute stability, absence of technical lag, or freedom from bugs in the core Rust game or our modifications.
- Wipes and Resets: The Player acknowledges and agrees that routine, planned, and emergency world and database resets (wipes) occur on the servers. During a wipe, player builds and standard game progress are permanently removed. A wipe does not constitute grounds for compensation unless explicitly stated in the rules for a specific digital product.
- Loss of Items: The Administration is not responsible for, and does not reimburse, virtual items lost during standard gameplay (e.g., raids, theft, player-vs-player interactions) or due to technical failures, rollbacks, or server crashes.
4. Voluntary Donations and Refund Policy
- Donations: All financial payments made by the Player on the Project website are voluntary, non-refundable donations intended to support the maintenance and development of the servers.
- Digital Goods: As a token of gratitude for your donation, in-game value (such as virtual currency, items, or VIP privileges) is credited instantly to the Player’s account or directly in-game.
- No Refunds: All completed payments are final. Due to the immediate delivery and nature of digital content, the service is considered fully executed the moment values are credited to the Player’s account. We do not offer refunds, partial or full, for delivered digital services, even in the event of an account ban, server wipe, or server closure.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Rust Arena, its owners, administrators, or moderators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the servers or website.
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the servers, including defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of other players.
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
6. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Project and its Administration from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the services, or your violation of these Terms.
7. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck, and the remaining provisions shall continue to be fully valid and enforceable.
8. Changes to the Agreement
- The Administration reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time without prior individual notice to Players.
- The most current version will always be published at /terms. Your continued use of the Project after any such changes constitutes your automatic acceptance of the new Terms.
